Doors open to the Public at 7:00pm for Gymnasium for the Mind with Robert Leh, as featured in the just-published book, Party on Purpose, by WTCC member Cheryl Leutjen. “When we’re playing, we’re the most ourselves,” says Robert, president and co-founder of Gymnasium for the Mind, a program that uses improvisational games to enhance everyday cognitive function. “We’re focused on the game, less self-conscious, and our walls come down—or at least lower. Playfulness is a natural state. Just watch children: any household object becomes the best toy in the world.” Gymnasium for the Mind blends creativity, play, and neuroscience. Its sister program, Playful Encounters, brings that spirit to social gatherings through improvisational games. In Party on Purpose, Cheryl writes, "Why play? Because it’s good for your brain and your party. These games, adapted from classic theater techniques, sharpen instincts, boost creativity, and heighten responsiveness." Whether you're a seasoned sipper or just along for the company, this is an evening designed to bring our community together — and to show up for the neighborhood that needs us right now.
